ONCE UPON THE END
Anatole always wears a different woolen cap on his head, freshly knitted by grandma. His father had left this world one rainy day.
Began the visits to the village cemetery for Anatole. Every Sunday. At noon. Anatole discovered the cemetery and made it his playground. Until the day he sees an old lady, far too dressed up, searching for her dog. With at least four watches at her wrists. TICK TOCK is always resonating around her, like a ticking bomb ready to explode.
Frightened by the child, the old lady ran away. Following the eternal countdown of the watches, Anatole quickly found her again. This time, hidden behind a grave wearing the name of the old lady: Mrs. Late.
'How can you see me?'
He searched for his father for days and nights without ever finding a trace of him. Instead, Anatole has met every single resident of the cemetery waiting to go to the Afterlife.
Before leaving, Anatole encountered a little pale girl in front of the gates. The girl can't talk but most of all, can't enter the cemetery among the other residents. When he asked her for her name, she pointed at the Moon.
Anatole will have to learn how to communicate with Moon and understand why she cannot access the cemetery like the others.
